emmy's story
Painting came to me as an obsession; an intension passion that I had to pursue. I've been a self-employed artist for about 12 years now and over these years my paintings continue to change and evolve. I constantly strive to find the next level of quality in my work, hoping to translate the joy I experience while painting to the viewer.
I've naturally been drawn towards painting women and exploring the female form. My female characters are in some way of reflection of myself and all the women I know.
My latest focus though is painting non-objectives and finding the balance & movement with only color, texture, pattern and lines. It was quite a challenge for me to remove the form, but now that I have, I'm truly enjoying this new world of possibilities. I hope that energy speaks for itself.
