Nancy E. Ballew is an Atlanta artist, who paints fine art murals and decorative scenery for residential and commercial projects. An accomplished painter with a BFA in Illustration and Painting, she.mainly paints in the traditional and old world styles.
However, her fine art abstract series, Atonement, is a dramatic departure, representing the inner light that lives beside and emerges from the darkness of shame. This darkness is an aspect of all human beings that yearns for genuine acceptance. Nancy's artwork is an outward manifestation of an inner light that she had attempted to extinguish. With an innate talent, drive and passion for creating classical realism, thanks in part to early traditional training, she felt affirmed by the acceptance she received for her representational work. However, by nurturing a desire for personal and spiritual growth that exposes her vulnerability and light, Nancy created this abstract body of work as a true departure from realism.
